Organizing Tips
Have a particular challenge? Can’t find the tip you were looking for? Just let me know and I will send a tip your way.
- Only keep items you need, use or love. Everything else is clutter!
- Cut down on unwanted incoming mail by going to www.the-dma.org.
- Manage catalogs by going to www.catalogchoice.org.
- Keep an open “donation” box or bin in your garage and fill routinely. When the box is full, close it up … donate … and start again!
Donating
If you’re having difficulty parting with an item because it still has value and can be used by someone … just not you … check out these options for donations. It is often easier to part with an item when you have the mindset of sharing with someone in need.
Recycling
I strongly encourage my clients to adopt the principles of green organizing! You can begin doing this by becoming informed about your community and what your recycle options are. It’s often easier to make a decision to let go of something if you know it’s being disposed of responsibly!
